Great work! Thanks for writing it up. I was going down the same rabbit hole after finding another post that used Substack's non-public API, but was running into mysterious "Error: Substack" messages and stopped looking for ways to analyze what exactly was and wasn't being sent and received. Saved me a whole lot of hassle, you did!
I was looking for a solution to add subscribers to Substack from a WordPress form plugin . . . but this is way beyond my very limited coding knowledge! Guess I'll be adding subscribers manually.

Interesting! I'm working on an app for nmy investor newsletter, that will only allow people who are subscyibers get access, so this will be useful!
Hi Oliver! Can you share your carrd link? I have a carrd page too and haven't thought about customization until I read your article
Hi Mandy!

Let me know if I can be of any help!
really cool!
Well done! I go down similar rabbit holes and never document anything. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thanks Peter! Yeah I figured it could be useful. It’s also kinda productive procrastination 😅
I call that procrastawork. Useful and feels productive, though it's not necessarily the most efficient way of getting there :)
